Description

In 1946 the first oncological in-patient facility in Moscow was established in Baumansky (now -Basmanny) district, formerly a hospital for disabled WWII veterans.

In 2016, by the order of the Medical Department of Moscow, City Hospital No. 56 and Gynecological Hospital No. 11 were attached to the Oncology Center. In 2018, the Oncology Center was renamed City Clinical Hospital No. 1. Vsevolod Galkin, MD, PhD, was appointed its head. In 2019, a new surgical building opened on the Zagorodnoye highway, where the most complex organ-preserving surgeries began to be performed.

As a part of major overhaul Daikin air-cooled condenser chillers (R32 refrigerant) with a total capacity of 2100 kW and a medical Kentatsu Comfort fresh-air unit were installed in the 9th block of the hospital.
